The short version
This policy explains what we collect when you use Lilo, why we collect it, and the control you have over it. Lilo is a place to keep and share lists of the things you use, recommend, want, or love.
The honest summary: we only collect what we need to run Lilo and make it good, we don’t sell your personal information, and you can ask us to show or delete what we hold at any time.
What we collect
A few kinds of information, all in service of running your page:
- Account details — your email and the credentials you sign up with, so we can keep your page yours.
- The things you create — your lists, the items you add, your notes, and how your page looks.
- Usage data — basic, mostly-anonymous signals like page views and clicks, so creators can see how their lists are doing.
- Feedback you send us — when you write in through a form, we keep your message and email so we can reply.
How we use it
We use what we collect to:
- run your page, your lists, and your account;
- show creators simple analytics about how their lists and links perform;
- keep Lilo safe, working, and free of spam and abuse;
- reply to you, and improve Lilo based on what you tell us.
We don’t use your personal information to make decisions about you that have no relation to running Lilo.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t trade it to data brokers. We don’t require you to connect your Instagram or any other account to use Lilo. Your lists are yours — we host and display them, we don’t mine them to build a profile of you for advertisers.
Storage & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and only as long as we need it afterward. We use sensible technical and organizational measures to protect it — but no service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password and look after your account.
Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or have it deleted. You can:
- edit or delete your lists and page at any time;
- delete your account, which removes your page;
- email us to request a copy of your data or ask us to erase it.
We’ll always try to honor a valid request promptly.
Children’s privacy
Lilo isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, get in touch and we’ll remove it.
Changes to this policy
As Lilo grows, this policy may change with it. When it does, we’ll update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we’ll try to let you know. Continuing to use Lilo after a change means you accept the updated policy.
